Blackpool Football Club is delighted to confirm Utilita’s continuation as a principal partner.
This exciting partnership will now see the Utilita logo proudly feature on the back of all first-team and replica shirts ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 season, and will also feature on the front of the junior shirt. Details on the new front of shirt sponsor for first-team and adult replica shirts will be confirmed later today.
Launched in 2003 as a kitchen table start-up, Utilita is now one of the UK’s biggest and most respected energy suppliers – and the only one created to help households use LESS energy.
A prominent brand in British football, Utilita boasts a strong track record in working with partner clubs to use the Beautiful Game as a force for good - supporting local communities and helping households waste less energy to save money, while helping the planet.
Their work stretches into communities even further, with Blackpool Football Club and the Community Trust teaming up with Utilita last season to develop the Food Hub – an initiative introduced to encourage fans to donate items to Blackpool Food Bank.
Blackpool Football Club’s Chief Operating Officer Jonty Castle said:
"We are delighted to continue our association with such an established organisation in the domestic energy market as Utilita.
“In becoming the Club’s new back of shirt sponsor across all ranges and front of shirt sponsor for junior kits, we believe this partnership will continue to shine a light on the importance of using less energy whilst also helping us all save money in what is a financially difficult time for many people.
“A force for good in football and a champion of helping those in need, we’re looking forward to continue working with such a well-respected and great team at Utilita over the course of the upcoming season.”
Utilita Co-Founder and CEO, Bill Bullen, said:
“Continuing our association with Blackpool Football Club was an easy decision.
“Since day one, we have been made to feel a part of the local community and we truly value what we have accomplished with the Club – the Utilita Food Hub being one of many things to shout about.
“As part of our commitment to support those who need it most in the town and its surrounding areas, we will work closely with our official charity partner throughout the entirety of this new deal.
“The charity, Utilita Giving, supports those in fuel and food poverty, and I know the team are itching to make a difference locally.”
