Kyle Joseph highlighted the importance of Blackpool's quality in depth for the remainder of the campaign.

The Seasiders made it back-to-back league wins over sides in the top six of the Sky Bet League One table in a comprehensive victory over Bolton Wanderers. Joseph was disappointed not to get on the scoresheet, but emphasised the resilience of the group to turn the game on its head, having gone one goal down in the early stages.

"It was a good spectacle for League One," Joseph said.

"To come out and win was a great feeling, it's a derby game for the fans as well. I'm sure they will go and enjoy their night. We showed resilience, we've had to have that at times this season, especially at home with the crowd behind you they are all pushing you on.

"We knew we have quality in the squad and with the quality off the bench as well that, coming into the game, our quality was going to shine through and fortunately it did. I was gutted I couldn't finish off the opportunity before being fouled for the penalty.

"I had two or three good chances as well to be fair, I was itching for a goal towards the end but ultimately the win is the most important thing at the end of the day."

Joseph came on at half time with an enforced double swap seeing Andy Lyons also take to the field in place of Hayden Coulson and Shayne Lavery, with both making impacts in the second period. The forward was keen to stress the need for that quality in depth in competitive games towards the latter stages of the season.

"It's important to have subs who can make impacts," Joseph added.

"We had two lads who had to go off in Hayden Coulson and Shayne Lavery, but it shows the quality in the squad that me and Andy Lyons came on and kept the performance level going. When you come off the bench it can always take a while to get up to speed of things, but we both did well, got up to the speed quickly and impacted the game.

"Recent league results have been massive, we've come up against two teams at the top and you have to beat those teams to be up there come the end of the season. We showed resilience last weekend to come from behind to win and we've done it again this weekend.

"It's all about being game-by-game now, that's how you've got to take it. This result doesn't mean much if we don't go out now and beat Leyton Orient on Tuesday night so again we prepare for that now."
