Blackpool look to build on their weekend win over Charlton Athletic as they travel to face Huddersfield Town in Sky Bet League One.

The Seasiders travel to the John Smith’s Stadium for the 7.45pm kick-off, off the back of a huge 2-1 away win over Charlton and they will be seeking a third straight league win when they make the trip to Yorkshire on Tuesday evening.

Their opponents for the midweek clash, which was rearranged due to international call-ups for both sides at the start of September, are going into the game off the back of a disappointing 3-1 home loss to Northampton Town.

Opposition In Focus:

Huddersfield have had a positive start to the new term following relegation from the Championship last season, currently sitting in 5th place in Sky Bet League One going into their encounter with Pool.

After last season’s relegation, the Terriers brought in Michael Duff as their new manager, who guided Barnsley to the League One play-off final in 2023 as well getting Cheltenham Town promoted from League Two in 2021 as champions.

The 46-year-old, who was sacked by Swansea in December 2023, has made an instant impact at the John Smith’s Stadium with the Terriers winning four of their opening six league games.

Huddersfield have picked up some big wins already this season over the likes of Peterborough United and Bolton Wanderers, but Saturday’s home defeat to Northampton Town was a setback they will be looking to bounce back from when they host the Seasiders.
