Blackpool came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Charlton Athletic at Bloomfield Road and extend their unbeaten run to seven games.
Goals from new signings Sammy Silvera and Niall Ennis earned Steve Bruce’s side a share of the points, after they went two goals down at the start of the second-half thanks to a goal from Matty Godden and an Olly Casey own goal.
It was a lively start to proceedings at Bloomfield Road, between two sides looking to continue their good run of form. After a cagey opening exchange, the first chance landed at the feet of Luke Berry - who could only blaze over the bar.
There were a number of physical encounters early on, and a brilliant piece of footwork by Tom Bloxham earned the Seasiders a shooting opportunity from a set piece, which Albie Morgan could only fire wide.
The visitors were holding a strong shape that Bruce’s men were struggling to break down inside the early stages. An Elkan Baggott header came closest to opening the scoring, when he shaved the post from a Rob Apter set piece.
After the first 30 minutes lacked many clear-cut opportunities, suddenly the game began to kick into life. Firstly, Morgan’s set-piece nearly made its way in at the far post, before a powerful half-volley from Sonny Carey was inches away from making it 1-0.
With the Seasiders now in the ascendancy, Ashley Maynard-Brewer had to produce a strong hand to deny CJ Hamilton from close range, before the Pool winger had another opportunity but he couldn’t steer the ball home from Bloxham’s cross.

Half-time probably came at the wrong time for Bruce’s team, who were on top before the break. Despite their patience in front of goal, it was the visitors who fired themselves in front after Godden’s effort found a way through the area to open the scoring.
Buoyed from taking the lead, Charlton came flying forward again and great work from Tyreece Campbell soon earned them a second goal. The Addicks forward raced down the touchline before the ball bundled in off Casey inside the area to give the visitors breathing space.
After a crazy five minute spell the Pool now had a mountain to climb, but soon reduced the deficit when substitute Silvera curled in a brilliant finish from outside the area to give the home support hope of a late comeback.
The Seasiders’ were throwing everything forward which would ultimately earn them a second goal and a late share of the spoils. Substitute Jake Beesley rattled the crossbar, before debutant Ennis arrived to find the equaliser from a rebound inside the area and make it 2-2.
