Blackpool make their longest trip of the season to take on Exeter City in Sky Bet League One.
The reverse fixture was Head Coach Steve Bruce’s first game in charge, with a late James Husband header earning Pool all three points at Bloomfield Road.
The Seasiders are unbeaten since Boxing Day’s loss to Wrexham but have drawn their last four league matches.
Exeter scored in stoppage time to earn themselves a point last time out at struggling Peterborough United in midweek.
Opposition In Focus:
Exeter City sit one place and one point above the Seasiders having played one extra league game. The Grecians, like the Seasiders, have failed to pick up three points so far in 2025, with their last victory in the league coming on Boxing Day against Bristol Rovers.
Gary Caldwell’s side did progress in the FA Cup at the start of January though, beating Championship outfit Oxford United 3-1 at St James Park. After Pool beat the Grecians in September, Caldwell’s side bounced back well, winning four of their following five league games, seeing them push up the Sky Bet League One table. A run of just three wins since 17 October has seen them fade away from the play-off picture though, as they look to get back on track when Pool visit this Saturday.
