Blackpool Football Club is delighted to announce the return of Niall Ennis for an undisclosed fee.

Ennis joins Pool on a two-year deal from Championship side Stoke City following his successful loan spell at Bloomfield Road last season. The Club also holds an option for a further 12 months.

Ennis, 26, has a strong pedigree in both League One and the Championship, impressing with 12 goals for Plymouth in the third tier back in 2022/23, helping them to promotion. He also counts Burton, Doncaster and Blackburn on his list of former clubs.

He joined the Seasiders on loan back in January, scoring seven goals in 19 appearances, endearing himself to the Club’s supporters. His impressive loan spell also saw him claim the Sky Bet League One February Player of the Month award as well as March’s Goal of the Month award.

On rejoining the Seasiders, Ennis said:

“It’s hard to put into words what this means. I’m so happy to be here.

“To be some where you are wanted, by both the Club and the supporters, is such a great feeling. I really enjoyed being here last season – the group we had, the staff and of course the fans – it made it all very special.

“I can’t wait for pre-season now and to get ready for what we all hope will be a successful season.”

Head Coach Steve Bruce said:

“We are delighted to welcome Niall back to Blackpool on a permanent basis.

“He hit the ground running for us last season, making a real impact at the top end of the pitch with some memorable goals.

"We look forward to seeing him back in action and seeing what he can do once again in tangerine.”
