Andy Lyons joined Blackpool in January 2023 with a deal completed in August 2022 for the player to arrive following the end of the Irish league season.

The defender can play in either full back position and has also played as a wing back both on the left and right side. A league winner with Shamrock Rovers, Lyons was also awarded the PFAI Young Player of the Year award.

Following a three-year spell with Bohemians, Lyons made the switch to Rovers at the start of the 2022 campaign where he scored six league goals during a stellar season.

An Ireland U21 international, Lyons has established himself as one of the bright future talents of his country.
