Dan Sassi joined the Seasiders on a permanent deal from Premier League side Burnley on January deadline day.

The centre half has built up vast youth experience during his time at Stoke City and Burnley, becoming the Clarets U21 captain in the 2022/23 campaign and beyond.

Following his arrival, Dan spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan with National League side Rochdale.  After spending the whole of pre-season with the Seasiders, including Pool's trip to Spain, Sassi joined Rochdale on loan again.  Sassi was recalled from his loan spell with the Dale to make his first-team debut against Aston Villa U21's in the Vertu Trophy.  

The towering defender finished the 2024/25 season with relegated AFC Fylde in the National League, playing five times for the fellow Fylde Coast outfit.
