Jordan joined Blackpool on New Year's Day in 2020, for an undisclosed fee from Sheffield Wednesday.

The versatile defender, who can play at centre-back and left-back, signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Seasiders, with the option of a further 12 months.

He enjoyed a successful period on loan at Oxford United in the first half of the 2021/22 season, before being recalled in January.

Before joining Blackpool, Thorniley made 35 appearances for Sheffield Wednesday, as well as enjoying a loan spell at Accrington Stanley during their promotion winning season to League One back in 2018.

Thorniley is a product of Everton's academy, and spent time on loan with Stockport County whilst on Merseyside.
