Sonny Carey joined Blackpool on a three-year contract from Kings Lynn Town in the summer of 2021.
The highly-rated midfielder, who was linked with several other EFL clubs before his move to Bloomfield Road, is a product of Norwich City's Academy.
At Kings Lynn, he scored six goals in 46 appearances during the 2020/21 season, including the vital goal in their 1-0 win over Port Vale in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Carey made his professional debut for Blackpool in a Carabao Cup tie against Middlesbrough in August 2021 and notched his first goal for the Club against Peterborough United four months later.
The central midfielder had his best goal-scoring season for the Seasiders in the 2023/24 campaign, scoring five times in the league for Pool.
